Dr. Benjamin Sookhoo is an Orthopedic Trauma and Fracture Care Surgeon from Tampa, Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida and University of South Florida for his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Public Health.  Dr. Sookhoo then went to the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia for medical school and served as an ambassador. He completed his orthopedic surgical internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia / Augusta University. Dr. Sookhoo went on to complete his fellowship training with Orlando Health Orthopaedic Trauma Department where he trained under Level 1 orthopedic trauma surgeons.
 
Dr. Sookhoo is a published surgeon and has conducted various research studies in orthopedic trauma.  His particular interests include complex fracture care, periarticular reconstructions, pelvic ring and acetabulum injuries, malunion, nonunion, post traumatic deformity correction, and infections. Through his membership of the OTA (Orthopaedic Trauma Association), faculty position at Rothman Orthopaedics Florida at AdventHealth, and continued work innovating with industry, he is at the forefront of orthopedic trauma care and uses the latest cutting edge technologies to restore patients to their pre-injury status.

Outside of work, he is lucky enough to be the father of two amazing daughters.
