Dr. Zhang provides comprehensive non-operative spine and musculoskeletal care. He performs fluoroscopic (X-ray) and ultrasound guided interventional procedures to treat spine, peripheral joint, and nerve pain. Advanced, minimally invasive treatments offered include radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and other percutaneous procedures. He also performs electrodiagnostic studies to evaluate and diagnose nerve and neuromuscular conditions. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
 
Dr. Zhang received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University, where he graduated cum laude, and his Medical Doctorate from Temple University. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital and subsequently his residency training in physical medicine & rehabilitation at the Temple University Hospital/Moss Rehab program, where he was elected Chief Resident and was recipient of the Strax award for excellence in academic presentation. Dr. Zhang then went on to complete an advanced fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine at OSS Health in York, Pennsylvania.
 
He is an active member of the International Pain & Spine Intervention Society, North American Spine Society, and American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a published first-author and has given numerous educational lectures on physical medicine, spine, and electrodiagnostic medicine related topics. 
 
Prior to joining Rothman Orthopaedics, Dr. Zhang spent several years working as an attending physician in a busy practice in northeastern Pennsylvania and was on faculty for the practice’s residency training program. He is excited to return home to the Philadelphia area, where he grew up.
 
In his spare time, Dr. Zhang enjoys relaxing with his family and Shih Tzu, exploring good eats, and attending live music.
