Dr. Branagan is a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician with a focus on the non-operative management of sports injuries across all levels of athletic performance. She completed her fellowship at the prestigious Andrews Sports Medicine Institute, where she provides sideline and training room coverage for NCAA Division I teams, minor league baseball, and elite dancers and runners. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and previously served as Chief Resident at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center.

Dr. Branagan earned her medical degree from St. George’s University and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ. During residency, she developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal medicine and community health while volunteering as a sideline physician for numerous high school teams and supporting professional female athletes in the National Women’s Soccer League with NJ/NY Gotham FC.

Her clinical interests include injury prevention, concussion management, musculoskeletal ultrasound, return-to-play protocols, and the unique needs of female athletes. She has presented at institutional conferences on topics such as elbow injuries, particularly ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) injuries in overhead athletes, return-to-play following pregnancy, heat-related illness, and obesity in medicine.  She is actively involved in research related to sports medicine outcomes and the care of athletes.

Dr. Branagan is deeply committed to community engagement, having worked with the Special Olympics, youth health education programs, global medical missions, and underserved populations. A former NCAA Division II lacrosse goalkeeper and team captain, she continues to live an active lifestyle through pilates, yoga, hiking, and outdoor sports. Her athletic background gives her a meaningful perspective on helping patients at every level stay active, recover safely, and perform at their best.
