Dr. Brown is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.  His clinical interests include partial and total knee replacement, complex primary joint replacement, total knee revisions, total hip revisions, joint infections, prosthetic infections, prosthetic fractures, and lower extremity trauma.

He received his medical degree from The University of Rochester School of Medicine Dentistry.  During his time in medical school, he completed an NIH-funded research year at the Center for Musculoskeletal Research at the University of Rochester.  He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.  Following residency, he completed his fellowship in adult reconstruction at Scripps Clinic in San Diego.  Prior to joining Rothman Orthopaedics, Dr. Brown worked at Cooper University Hospital where he performed primary and revision hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Brown enjoys working with patients to develop a care plan to get his patients back to an active lifestyle through both non-operative and operative treatments.

He remains active in research with over 30 peer reviewed publications and numerous book chapters.  Dr. Brown continues to work on research to optimize outcomes from primary and revision joint replacement.
