
Rothman Orthopaedic Institute is pleased to announce Frank Alberta, M.D., has joined the practice. Prior to joining Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, Dr. Alberta was at North Jersey Orthopaedic Clinic with a focus on shoulder, elbow and knee surgery. A Sports Medicine surgeon, Dr. Alberta, will continue to see patients at his Glen Rock and Rutherford locations.

His knowledge of the marketplace and its patients will prove invaluable to all of us. We anticipate a seamless integration and many years of successful partnership.”
Previously Dr. Alberta practiced at North Jersey Orthopaedic Clinic. He is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and participated in the care of many professional athletes during his fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Alberta is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and orthopedic textbook chapters. He is also a member of several professional orthopedic societies including: American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and New England Shoulder and Elbow Society. He is also president-elect for the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society. His term begins in April 2019.
Born and raised in Bergen County, NJ, Dr. Alberta graduated from both Paramus Catholic High School and Seton Hall University. He attended New Jersey Medical School where he received his medical degree in 1997. He still lives in Bergen County with his wife and three daughters.
