Sports Medicine Fellowship

The Thomas Jefferson University Sports Medicine Fellowship Program is based at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute located in Philadelphia Center City as well as at Lankenau Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Nazareth Hospital, Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital, Riddle Memorial Hospital, Bryn Mawr Hospital, and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in the Greater Philadelphia suburban region. The fellows work with fellowship trained sports medicine orthopaedic surgeons in addition to fellowship trained primary care sports medicine physicians. This allows for a well-rounded sports medicine educational program. The fellow is involved in the pre-participation screening and in season care of athletes at the professional, collegiate, high school and recreational levels. The fellow participates in the management of these athletes in the clinic, on the athletic field, and in the operating room. The surgical experience includes the full breadth of sports injuries.
