Dr. Brian Buck is an orthopedic trauma surgeon and Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.

Prior to joining Rothman Orthopaedics, Dr. Buck practiced in Phoenix, Arizona at the CORE Institute and served as Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix.

Previously, Dr. Buck fulfilled the role of Orthopedic Trauma Director at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri while serving as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Missouri.

He was an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota, after completing his Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at the Twin Cities Combined Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at the University of Minnesota and Hennepin County Medical Center in 2006-2007.  He completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Buck specializes in all aspects of fracture care and his clinical and research interests involve fracture fixation to promote bone healing while restoring patient function.  He has published multiple book chapters involving VTE prophylaxis in fracture patients and has published in multiple orthopedic professional journals.

Dr. Buck is a devoted educator and remains active speaking and teaching both nationally and internationally while simultaneously being involved with education at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.  

He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is a member of numerous professional societies including:  The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS), The American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AOAO), the AO Foundation and AONA, and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA).
