Dr. Brown is dual board-certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic medicine. She completed her residency at Temple University Hospital/MossRehab in Philadelphia, PA where she was awarded the Strax Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for Residents. She then went on to obtain board certification in the field of neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Brown has been practicing as a non-operative physiatrist and electrodiagnostic specialist for 10 years in the Philadelphia suburbs. She employs multi-modal treatment for spine and musculoskeletal disorders to patients from young adults to elderly individuals. Her treatment methods include physical therapy, oral non-narcotic pain medications, intra-articular joint corticosteroid or hyaluronic injections, trigger point and Botox injections. Via her comprehensive EMG/NCS procedures, Dr. Brown has diagnosed and guided the management of various neuromuscular disorders such as compressive neuropathy, polyneuropathy, motor neuron disease, myopathy and cervical/thoracic/lumbar radiculopathy.
Dr. Brown is a published physician who has written several case studies/poster presentations in the field of PM&R and is a member of professional organizations, including the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
