Orthotics & Bracing
Devices that help correct, support, or protect a part of the body are called orthotics. A shoe insert to correct an irregular walking pattern or a wrist brace to reduce pain would both be examples of orthotics. Some orthotics are prefabricated while others must be custom made to fit your body.
Rothman Orthopaedic Institute’s certified orthotists work in an on-site lab where they can fabricate new orthotic devices or adjust existing ones while you wait. Orthotic devices and services are available at many Rothman locations. Be sure to consult your Rothman physician about device availability.
