Little League Elbow Treatment

The most important part to recovery is rest. The time period for rest will depend on the severity of the injury.  Injuries that are noticed earlier will likely need less rest.  Following rest, the athlete should also work with his physician, trainer, and coach to improve his/her throwing technique to ensure continued athletic success and avoid future injury. Reducing your amount of throwing (i.e. following pitch count limits) and maintaining the strength of your core, hip and leg muscles may help prevent this from occurring. Remember, that it is important to listen to your body to prevent injury and be a healthy and successful throwing athlete.
