Orlando Magic Team Behind the Team: Dr. Harrison Youmans

Rothman Orthopaedics in partnership with AdventHealth have teamed-up to take care of the Orlando Magic as the Team Behind the Team. Hear from Dr. Harrison Youmans, Head Primary Care Physician for the Orlando Magic and non-surgical Sports Medicine Specialist at Rothman Orthopaedics, on how that relationship works, as well as what it means to be part of the Team Behind the Team.

Harrison Youmans, MD is a board certified, non-surgical orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Specialist. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, graduating as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, followed by residency training in Family Medicine at MUSC and Trident Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL, training under the guidance of world-renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews.

Previously, he served as the Head Primary Care Team Physician of the Orlando City Soccer Club, including Orlando City Soccer (MLS), Orlando Pride (NWSL), and Orlando City B (USL). He has been a sports medicine consultant for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), US Soccer, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the Atlanta Braves. In addition, has served as the Program Director for the University of Florida-Orlando Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship program, and has been a member of the Major League Soccer Education Committee and the National Women’s Soccer League Medical Task Force.
