Mark F. Kurd, M.D. - Dr. Kurd comes to the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute from OrthoCarolina where he has served as an Adjunct Professor at Carolinas Medical Center. Prior to that, he completed a Spine Fellowship at RUSH University Medical Center and a Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Kurd is widely published having contributed numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national meetings. He is a current member of several professional societies including, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the North American Spine Society (NASS), the Lumbar Spine Research Society (LSRS) and the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society (POS).
He specializes in treating disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Dr. Kurd has published several scientific articles and book chapters and has presented his research nationally and internationally. He has multiple ongoing clinical research projects focused on improving the treatment of degenerative cervical and lumbar conditions and improving peri-operative pain management.
Michael P. Duncan, MD - Dr. Duncan comes to the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute from Main Line Sports Medicine in Bryn Mawr. He is the official Team Physician for Villanova University. Dr. Duncan completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine in 2011. Prior to that, he completed a Residency in Family Medicine at Bryn Mawr Family Practice. He is widely published having contributed numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national meetings. He is a current member of several professional societies including the, Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Sports Medicine, and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
