Dr. Andrew Star, Medical Director of the Orthopaedic and Spine Institute at Abington – Jefferson Health, is a renowned specialist in total hip and knee replacement. As of October 1, 2025, Dr. Star has concluded his surgical practice and will be retiring at the end of the year. Until his retirement, he will continue to care for patients non-operatively, drawing on decades of expertise. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Star has lectured nationally on advanced joint replacement techniques and mentored numerous visiting physicians in the operating room.
