Dr. Gu is a board certified physiatrist by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is also board certified in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He completed his residency at Temple University Hospital MOSS Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, PA, where he served as chief resident. He completed an ACGME Accredited Interventional Spine and Pain fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians in Newark, DE. Prior to coming to the United States, Dr. Gu worked for 12 years in the Orthopaedics Department at Ninth People’s Hospital in Shanghai Second Medical University in Shanghai, China, as a resident, attending surgeon and associate professor.

Dr. Gu provides non-operative spine and musculoskeletal care and performs minimally invasive spine procedures including spinal cord stimulation.  He also performs diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided joint and tendon injections.
