Navigating the waters of health insurance can be difficult, but we aim to keep things simple. That’s why we have a team dedicated to reviewing your insurance to make sure no unexpected charges are passed along. And once your plan is verified as being in-network, you can be confident that all physicians within our practice freely accept your insurance.

Below is a list of the different plans we are in-network with. And while this list is updated regularly, it’s always best to call one of our dedicated pre-registration representatives to confirm that your specific plan is covered by our practice—because it can be complex!

What does in-network mean?

When a provider is in-network with your specific plan, it means that your insurance company has negotiated a predetermined rate for the various services offered by a medical organization like us. That generally translates to fewer out-of-pocket costs, a lower copay and a lower deductible than with an out-of-network provider. That’s because an out-of-network provider does not have a standard rate for treatments and procedures. Also, there tends to be much less paperwork when you visit an in-network provider—your insurance takes care of authorizations and guides you through the paperwork process.

Our No-Show & Cancellation policy is not meant to be punitive; however, no-shows and late cancellations affect our ability to manage available appointments and to provide the best medical care possible to all patients. When you make an appointment, we reserve a dedicated time specifically for your consultation. Unfortunately, when a patient doesn't show for their scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, you are requested to notify us as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours in advance. Without this notification, you will be responsible for a $50.00 cancellation fee. Cancellation charges are not covered by insurance and are due and payable prior to any future appointments.

If your appointment is not canceled within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, you will be considered a "no show." If you do not show for three appointments, you may be unable to schedule subsequent appointments and could be discharged from our practice at the provider's discretion.

If you have an HMO plan and a referral is required, we ask that you contact your Primary Care Physician (PCP) and request a referral for evaluation and treatment (CPT code 99499). This will cover all services during the approved time period. The Registration department will attempt to locate a referral; however, if you do not have an active referral on the date of your appointment, you will be required to pay out of pocket or reschedule after a referral is obtained. Please click here for a list of NPI provider numbers. Your PCP will need this information to issue a referral. If you have questions about your referral, kindly contact your insurance company or our Registration Department at 267-339-7855.

Rothman Orthopaedics uses a service called CyraCom, which provides immediate access to interpreters in a multitude of languages including ASL (American Sign Language). Audio and video options are available and can be utilized via an iPad provided to the patient for the duration of their visit.

In regards to ASL only, if an in-person interpreter is preferred, our office can assist with that accommodation. We must be made aware of this request at least one week prior to the patient’s appointment date. Upon scheduling your appointment, please advise our team of this request.
